“When the time is on, start, and the pressure will be off.”
Last week, we took a little detour from the Sutras for the Aquarian Age. Today, I’d like to jump back in. Since time is speeding up, and this global pandemic is only proof that we are in fact entering into a New Age, these sutras are more important than ever. Remember, the mindsets and daily activities you choose NOW are becoming habits for later. By applying these simple principles to your life, you’ll come out on the other side of this situation more elevated than you were before…
“When the time is on, start, and the pressure will be off” is the third sutra Yogi Bhajan gave us. I love this one because it offers a solution for dealing with pressure. You may feel pressure from your relationships, your career, and society, but you probably feel it mostly from yourself. This pressure can create a lot of anxiety if you try to ignore it. I’m guilty for numbing out and pretending the pressure isn’t there. Problem is, this only makes it worse. To relieve the pressure, you must START.
“Start where?” you might ask. Well, only you know the answer to that question. Have you been feeling pressure to begin a project, leave your job, make a phone call, or do something creative? What do you keep putting off? That thing that is always in the back of your mind is what’s causing pressure. It’s that little voice inside of you that won’t go away. Once you sit down and take action, even if it’s just one tiny step in the right direction, you’ll begin to relieve that build up of pressure.
This isn’t meant to be overwhelming. You don’t need to get it all done or figure everything out in one day. All you need to do is start. Determine that one major thing that’s been on your heart. Where are you sensing the most pressure? Now, what’s ONE action step you can take TODAY to get started? Get quiet, use your intuition, and allow the first thought to come to you. You already have the answer.
