Real quick: If you're new here, hello and *hugs* from me, Greta! I started this holistic business & wellness website (gretaertl.com) and newsletter in 2015 when I was feeling miserable and unfulfilled in my corporate job. My intention was to share real life lessons and practical business advice in a soulful way. A lot has changed in 3+ years, but here's what's the same:
I'm 1 part yogi flower child + 1 part biz boss lady on a mission to help you increase your self-worth and net worth --- from the inside out!
YogiReflections & Insights from 2018
In 2018, I turned a corner that saved my life. It had everything to do with self-worth. After ending a toxic relationship, I resisted the temptation to enter another one and began dating myself.
With the help of meditation, yoga, journaling,a lotof alone time and an incredible therapist, I learned to break unhealthy patterns and heal years of hurt. To get out of my own way, I needed to do extensive inner work and clear space for my deepest desires. So, I did...and...it worked!
The takeaway:When you value yourself, you effortlessly attract people who respect and appreciate you. And if someone doesn't, you easily dismiss them from your life. Self-worth gives you strength to stand up for yourself and say, "yes" or "no" appropriately. You begin filtering your decisions based on whether or not they will add to or take away from who you know your fabulous self to be...
Your turn!Do you love and value yourself? Like any solid partnership, the relationship you have with yourself requires commitment. My biggest piece of advice is to create a self-care practice. For me, that's daily meditation, movement and writing. Find what centers and calms you (I'm sure you already know). Do the things that light you up and feed your soul.
Set aside at least 20 minutes, every day just for you. I take my time first thing in the morning, but do what works for your schedule. Make this a non-negotiable ritual for 30 days and see what happens...

Let's Get a Little Personal
So, here's how all that self-worth stuff worked out for me... I FELL IN LOVE!!!
Last summer was so dreamy and magical thanks to meeting this incredible man! It feels like we were made for each other. He makes me laugh so hard. We meditate and make green juice together. Next week we go to Belize for a yoga retreat. I'm in heaven.
You deserve the kind of love that opens your heart, lifts you up, holds you tight, gives you strength, lets you fly and welcomes you home with the best hug and kiss you can possibly imagine.
Don't settle, babe!
I'M TEACHING AGAIN !!!

READ ME: These are the 4 books I'm reading now, and they're all super inspiring in their own way:

"Loving What Is" by Byron Katie
"Creative Quest" by Questlove (listening on Audible)
Mantra + Inspiration
Mantra: "I choose to release all guilt."
Guilt is an illusion that makes you feel gross. When you make peace with what you do and why you're doing it, then there's no place for it. Guilt is an unhelpful emotion many of us have carried since childhood. Give yourself permission to let it go now.
Trust yourself to make intentional and mindful choices. You know, intuitively, if something is off. Release the burden by having a conscious conversation, coming clean and/or making a change. Your inner compass is always there to give you the direction you need. Slow down to hear its guidance...
Letting go of guilt = emotional lightness & freedom
Go ahead, free yourself.
You made it to the end, friend! I sure hope you enjoyed reading this little update as much as I did sharing it.
But, wait! Could you answer a quick question for me..pretty please?
Simply write back (just hit reply) and tell me:
what you're struggling with / what you'd like help with / what you want more of in your work & life in 2019.
Hopefully I can help... Can't wait to see you in my inbox!!
Let me leave you with this...
Thanks a bunch for being here. You're a blessing to more people than you realize. Give yourself a little extra loving today.
+ even more love,
